What You’ll Be Doing

As an Early Years Assistant, you’ll work alongside our experienced nursery team, supporting children through play, learning and everyday routines while developing your own skills within a caring and supportive environment.

You will:

• Support the nursery team to provide a warm, welcoming and home-from-home environment for every child.

• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn through play.

• Assist in delivering engaging activities that encourage children’s curiosity, creativity and development.

• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

• Support children’s daily routines, helping them feel happy, safe and secure.

• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming nursery environment.

• Observe and celebrate children’s achievements, supporting their learning and development.

• Follow Kindred’s policies and procedures, promoting safeguarding, health and safety at all times.

• Attend staff meetings, training sessions and nursery events.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding care and education.
  
  What You’ll Need
  
  Essential:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

• A willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years environment.

• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  
  Desirable:
  

• Previous experience working with children.

• Experience within an Early Years or childcare setting.

• Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

• Food Hygiene Certificate.
