What You’ll Be Doing

As a Bank Nursery Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our nursery teams whenever additional cover is needed. You’ll help create a warm, safe and nurturing environment where every child can learn, develop and thrive.

You will:

• Work as part of the nursery team to create a welcoming, home-from-home environment for every child.

• Supervise and care for children at all times, ensuring appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained.

• Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

• Model best practice and work in accordance with nursery policies and regulatory requirements.

• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

• Support the daily running of the nursery, adapting to different rooms and age groups as required.

• Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.

What You’ll Need

Essential:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• A commitment to delivering outstanding care and customer service

• Good time management and the ability to work flexibly

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
  
  Desirable;

• Previous experience working in an Early Years setting

• A full and relevant Early Years qualification

• Paediatric First Aid Certificate

• Food Hygiene Certificate
