What You’ll Need

Essential:

Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract data from different sources to provide information required by the business.

To be proficient in reconciling different types of data and to identify any anomalies and be able to correct any issues found. 

Ability to learn new systems and workflows in line with company requirements.

Knowledge of Payroll routines and RTI processing, use of previous payroll solutions, knowledge of auto-enrolment duties.

Experience of working in the Childcare sector and with multi-site businesses is advantageous but not essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Role: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our dedicated Finance team. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be an integral part of our operations, collaborating with colleagues across the group, external agencies, and parents.

Key Responsibilities: 

- Ensure timely processing of invoices for parents of children attending our nurseries.

- Manage and resolve queries promptly in collaboration with nursery staff.

- Support nurseries with funding applications and claims submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Process daily parent receipts using our nursery management software.

- Regularly review parent debtor accounts and liaise with nursery managers to collect outstanding payments.

- Maintain accurate data in accordance with GDPR guidance.

- Assist the Accounts Receivable Manager with ad-hoc tasks as required.

- Uphold and demonstrate our values in all interactions.

Knowledge & Experience Required: 

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (intermediate/advanced level with VLOOKUPs & Pivot tables preferred).

- Experience with nursery management software is a plus.

- Familiarity with invoicing and debt collection processes.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain positive relationships.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and work independently or as part of a team.

- Excellent time management skills and a commitment to learning.
